Description

PDF

This project allows you to create FFF-printable (3D-printable) model of a turnbuckle made of a body, eye and hook end fittings. You can parametrize many properties, including thread diameter, take-up length, eye and hook diameter and others. The threads are marked with notches to determine matching thread handedness - one for left and two for right.

Files included in the project are for a turnbuckle with M10 thread diameter and 100mm take-up length with eye and hook end fittings with 16mm internal diameter.

Tested print settings are for Original Prusa MK4 IS:

  • PLA
  • .15mm layer height, structural
  • 3 perimeters
  • 15% gyroid infill

If you want to change the parameters of the turnbuckle and generate different models, you can utilize a prepared Jupyter notebook environment. Follow the instructions in the notebook to generated your models.

If you want to generate new models on your local computer or check out the project source code, see the project's Github page.
