I really like the Gulfcoast Robotics LED light that's been on my Prusa MK3S+ so while perforing the update to a 3.9, I updated the brackets to move the light out of the way of the extruder/hot end when it moves to the top of the frame. These will fit other models as long as the frame size and the hole spacing for the top Z brackets are the same. I used 3x25mm screws and nylock 3mm nuts left over from the old MK3S+ build.
I use the screws that come with the light (m5x10mm button heads) and install an M5 insert to screw in to. The light, screws and inserts can be sourced on Amazon.
Printed in Prusa PETG with 20% inifill because that's how I already had my printer set up. There isn't a ton of stress on these arms so you can use as much infill as you like. The screw holes are a tight fit on my machine (by design) as I originally wasn't going to add nuts to the back and wanted pressure fit.
Edited 3/8/24: Found the Z came up higher than I anticipated. To solve this issue, I reversed the brackets side to side and mounted them upside down to move the light behind the main bar. The bonus is now you can’t see the light at all because it’s hidden by the top of the frame. Still provides plenty of light on the build plate.
