Level tool with protractor

Level tool that can not only measures the horizontal and vertical lines but is able to determine angles of any object is something that evry handyman needs. If you often need a rough estimate of the angle of a particular object, then with this Level-Protrector you will save money on buying an expensive digital device.

For assembly you only need to 3D print the upgrade. Remove the plug from your level. And insert the protrector in.

How to use

Keep the Level in a horizontal or vertical direction at all times, as shown by the air bubble. Lean the protrector against the object at an angle and read the angle value shown on the protrector dial.

If you want to keep the angle, you can do so by tightening the screw on the protrector.

Specifications

The tool is made of three parts: 

• Insert for level
• One fastening screw
• Extension available in two dimensions 100 mm and 2300 mm (depending on the needs of the individual)

Protractor is suitable for level dimensions of approximately 49 x 22 mm (values may vary slightly). On each side it has a built-in  measuring scale for degrees, from 0 ° to 90 ° in both directions with a step of 2.5 °.

How to print

It can be nicely printed with PLA and PETG (PLA is nicer). I have not tried other materials. The parts must be printed in the original orientation, otherwise the measuring scale is distorted.

Works well with:

• layer height of 0.2 mm
• 30% infill
• For EXTAND and SCREW the supports are not needed
• For INSERT the “support on build plate only" is needed

My goal was to construct an upgrade that will be:

• constructed of only printed parts
• useful for a lot of users (universal)
• made by two different tools, but something that was never done before (innovative)
• at the same time it would not impair any of the tools
