2.3L Ford Front Sump Dipstick Drill Guide

This Tool will allow you to drill out a later Mustang or other Rear-Sump 2.3L Lima engine for the Front-Sump Dipstick Tube used on Mustang II, Pinto, Bobcat, and other models. You will need a 5/16" and 23//64" Drill bit in order to properly drill the Block.

This Template uses a single bolt hole used for mounting the Oil pump and will allow you to drill out a 5/16" hole clear through the block and then using the template provided (to help mark your 23/64" Drill Bit to allow for drilling the outside Dipstick Pocket. 

I have compared Multiple years of 2.3L Lima engines in order to make this guide work as well as I can for your application, you may need to lightly tap this guide in with a Hammer, the most important part is making sure the guide is flush with the Oil Pump mounting surface and bolted securely in place. 

This may also work on other engines such as the Ranger 2.5L, but was not fitted for use on the 2.5L.
