Attach an MGN7 rail to a 2020 extrusion. Available in three different lengths, mix and match to meet your requirements.
Hard to do right, as the rail is only just wider than the slot (and so does not sit on a flat surface by default). For this reason I got the feeling I shouldn't really be doing this at all, but I did it anyway.
Requires copious M2 nuts and 8mm M2 bolts.
If you need to mount a long rail, use a bunch of shorter nut bars. There's space between the ends of them (if you use more than one) so you have a bit of wiggle room. You probably want to (lightly) bolt the rail on to these before sliding the whole thing in to the extrusion.
The nut bar should not be able to wiggle left and right when it is slid into the extrusion. Scale it to fit snuggly if required by your extrusions. There's just a shade of clearance between the top of the nut bar and the bottom of the rail. When you bolt it down firmly, this clearance disapears and you end up clamping the rail onto the extrusion with the nut bar.
I strongly recommend you use the included alignment part during tightening. If you clamp that (using, say, a ratchet clamp or a G clamp) onto the extrusion (from the sides…) with at least one of them at each end of the rail (and maybe some in the middle for good measure) then everything should be constrained into the correct location to bolt down.
