Our safety gate from Noma (https://www.nomahomesafety.com/en/products/extending-wooden-gate/) was designed to close by itself. That means you can't leave it open if you don't need it.

Lucky I had a metal doorpost next to it so I designed a magnetic holder to keep the gate open.

There is M6 thread inside. I would advise to try the screws first into the holes before you mount it to the gate. Don't drive it furter in then 8mm or you will damage it (hole is 9mm deep).

The distance between the mounting holes is 47mm. So you can check if that fits your gate also. The thickness of the wood is 22mm. If this is different for yours, keep in mind to use another length of screws!

There is a side version which I used because otherwise it wouldn't fit to my metal doorpost. But I made also a middle version where the magnet is between the holes. (Didn't print this one, please let me know if there is anything wrong with it)

You can add as many magnets as you need. You can mount the first magnet with glue or double sided tape into the hole. After that you can stick more magnets on it if you need more force. For myself I used 1 20x3mm and 2 20x2mm magnets.

Needed items:
2x Bolt M6x30
Neodymium magnet 20mm diameter.

Print instructions:
I would advise to print it with a layer height of 0,1mm because of the thread. But I printed it myself at 0,15mm which turned out also ok.
Support should not be necessary (At least on my Prusa MK4)
I printed mine in PLA.
