DeWalt hard case for bits usually only comes with a few insert and makes it hard to usit for anything else.
I have made a few inserts that I need. Maybe you do too.
- The ones named “…short” is the one you put in the case slots.
- The ones named partitions cuts the short one in half.
- The ones named “…middle and hinge” are placed over the “…partition divider short”. They are placed as the name suggest. In the middle and next to the hinge.
- The ones named “…Lock” should be placed on the side with the snap lock. It is a bit altered to be able to open and close the lid.
So if you want long slots just use the “…short divider” otherwise make the ones named “…partition”.
I will make more as I have a lot of these cases that I will reuse. I think stiff TPU will make a better fit but PLA works just fine to.
If you have any ideas for other inserts let me know and I will try to make it.
