New Additions:

  • Attachments for loc-line
  • Step files for the base components to make it easier to create you own stuff.
  • Arms for wall mount

Reason for creating it:

The main reason i made this is that the holder is too low for me. I have to bend over, which does not feel to good. With this you can set your PCB for soldering or breadboard to make it easier to access and save your back. It can also help you by holding a lot of the supporting equipment.

It can be mounted to the wall, shelf or stand on its own.

Printing:

Everything is print in place with no support! At the cost of design sometimes, but not too much. All files should also be in the recommended printing orientation. If you have adhesion problems i would add a brim or elephant ear, especially for the long sliders. See example 3mf.

Printed with 0.2mm Layer height and 0.4 nozzle, but will also print with coarser and finer settings.

Some of the bolt parts can be to weak with just default infill/perimiter settings. Could be good to make those prints a bit stronger or attach a screw in the middle.

Additional Info:

There is now an Extension Arm and Gridfinity attachment!

The knobs and arm from the original design can be found in the original design: https://www.printables.com/model/740037-adjustable-pcb-holder-tool

All screw/bolt through holes are 4mm. All attachments between parts is meant to be done with M3 bolt and nut. The nut is always pulled toward the plastic so it can be press fitted or just a tiny bit of glue or heated up. That being said, most things do not really needs a screw/bolt, but it can help some times.

I have added friction disk meant to be printet in TPU and glued on the knobs. I have not needed this, but i could image someone who would want more friction would want this. One for the base knob and one for the gripper knob.

If anyone wants any specific file in a specific format, please let me know and i will upload it. My hope is that people can just tailor this to meet their exact need, that it will have its life its own. I have added what i needed and some more.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

The original model is great and i use it a lot. The issue is it is quite low and i have to crouch over it, which is not very ergonomic for me. With the additional models, which are fully compatible with the original model, it lets you mount it to the wall or to a stand so that the X, Z and Y dimension can be used to place the PCB or whatever you want to hold in an even better position.
