This print is in reference to an Everbilt brand Model EBTP1 transfer pump, typically sold as a 1/10 HP Non-Submersible Self-Priming Transfer Pump. See the photos for pictures of this pump, as well as a similar but newer model (ZE00802A). There are numerous other similar pumps sold under other brand names. While my repair was designed for my particular situation, I thought this might be useful information for others attempting similar repairs.
Somebody (not me!) allowed this transfer pump to run dry for so long that inside of the pump chamber and the impeller melted. Using a replacement pump as a model, I was able to bore out the partially melted pump chamber (using a boring head on a mill), and design a replacement liner to restore the pump chamber interior. Similarly, I designed and printed a replacement impeller using Flex filament.
A note regarding the replacement impeller : The original impeller has a brass insert molded into its center, to mate with the motor shaft of the pump. I simply designed a mating hub into the Flex part. My 3D printed impeller worked well during a brief initial test, but I do not know how (or if) it will hold up to long term use. In addition, my initial impeller prints using a somewhat less flexible Flex did not work well, so I finally ended up printing the impeller in the softest Flex filament I had on hand (NinjaFlex TPU).
The pump liner has an OD of 34.7mm and is designed to fit into a pump chamber bored out to slightly larger than that. I glued the liner into the pump chamber using JB Weld epoxy, and allowed the epoxy to set overnight. Note that the liner is printed in two pieces to facilitate printing; the two pieces are keyed to fit together in the proper orientation. The larger piece is glued in first, being careful to position it in alignment with the inlet and outlet ports. The smaller piece is then glued in on top of the larger piece.
Print in PETG for the liner and FLEX for the impeller using the 3mf files provided, otherwise :
The PETG parts were printed with a brim. I printed all parts on a textured PEI plate.
