I'm thrilled that my humble idea for a plant pot holder has caught your interest. Just a reminder: this is a community project, shared freely. Hence, it didn't come with a budget for extensive testing in every condition imaginable, using all sorts of materials (every 3D printer has their favorite setup, you know).
Despite that, I did manage to test a holder made from ASA material with 90% infill and a layer height of 0.15mm, all printed in a cozy, heated chamber. This little trooper withstood a sudden load increase from 1 to 10kg for a few minutes, until my measuring device threw in the towel and couldn't take any more. The holder didn't even break a sweat – no permanent deformations, and it kept the pot snug as a bug in a rug, which is quite promising.
I wholeheartedly encourage the Community to jump into this initiative with both feet. Your tests, maybe with different materials or print settings, could be incredibly valuable. Your observations and suggestions will help buff and polish this idea to shine – feel free to dive into the comments section on Printables.
But, remember, anyone who decides to take this baby for a spin should be aware of its experimental nature and assess the risk like a pro. Staying cautious and considering potential loads and usage conditions is key.
Thanks for your interest, and I'm all ears for any feedback and the results of your tests!
