This model contains 3 useful items for hand sewing sails. These are modeled after designs included in the book Sailmakers apprentice by Emiliano Marino.
Seam rubber: used to crease a folded over piece of canvas. Also may be used to help set stitches to lay flat. This is great with pla, it glides across the canvas. Print with extra walls for strength. Should print without support material if flat handle side is down.
Fid: looks like a marline spike but isn't! This is used to make grommets or eyes and the plastic version works great for this. Don't try to use it as a marline spike. Print with some exta infill so you can really push on it. Pla is still a great choice.
Sewing palm thimble: this one isn't a complete tool. It's intended to be sewn into a leather holder. While it might have been possible to design a tpu replacement the printablity and actual function would be terrible. Print with extra top layers and walls. I'd consider printing in PetG
