Description

PDF

Easter eggs are a must have decoration for the table. But because of their shape, they sit on their side and look a bit sad. A solution is to remove a bit of the bottom but that is cheating. Why not have it both ways !

This model is a set of roly-poly Easter eggs, which means they will upright themselves to look the prettiest. Plus, they wobble so nicely when pushed, bringing joy to young and old alike.

There are two top variants. The first one is the classic full egg. The second has the top broken off and is hollow inside so that decorations can be added, such as flowers.

Files

This model has the following files:

  • .3mf files, each one has all the parts for one egg. The file includes color changes to achieve what is shown on the picture.
  • .stl files to generate your own patterns/slicing
  • .FCStd are the source files
  • .gcode to show statistics on this page

Printing

This model improves a lot with the use of adaptive layer height. Also the top should be printed with 5% infill. The infill should be grid to ensure symmetry is preserved. This model is great to try out color changes.

Assembly

All models are assembled the same following this procedure:

  1. Print one bottom, one top and 4 clips
  2. Insert the clips in the bottom part.
