The provided EBB42 fanduct mount did not fit for me, fan and PCB were touching so I elongated it a bit. While at it, added a version with heat set inserts instead of hex nuts. In my opinion prints cleaner and it much easier to assemble, especially on a huge printer like the X5SA-500PRO. I am providing also the elongated version with hex nuts.
There is also a model to mount the Beacon probe using the same mount as for other probes.
As I am using Volcano hotend, the nice Beacon mount provided by ru_di_y required some spacers to properly position the probe relative to the build plate. Specified distance is 3.2mm and I found that 7-8mm spacers are fine.
I also wanted to move the filament sensor to the hotend, so made a simple adaptation to attach the mount to the cable drag mounts provided with the Praying Mantis. It was made to fit the HGX Lite extruder I used. This whole thing should be redesigned as using the EBB42 does not route cables via this mount anyway.
To assemble these mods:
For the fanduct mount for EBB42 with hex nuts you do nothing, it is just a replacement for the original.
For the fanduct mount for EBB42 with heat set inserts you need 6x M3x4x5 "Voron spec" heat set inserts. You can insert them from the front or the back, it does not matter as the part is thin anyway. I choose to insert from the back as this usually results in stronger inserts (should not matter in this case anyway).
The filament sensor assembly takes 4x M3x4x5 heat set inserts. To mount it to the cable drag mount (either flat or circular) just drill two holes in the middle of the drag mount. The idea is to position it so that the filament sensor hole is directly above the extruder entry point. Then screw with 6mm M3 bolts.
The author remixed this model.
Elongated the EBB42 fanduct mount so PCB and fan do not touch.
