Drift Slick Wheel Skin for Traxxas RC Truck

This is a slide on 'Skin' that fits the OEM rubber wheels of a Traxxas Stampede. The RC truck I have them on is a 2WD version, I don't know if the 4WD version has the same wheels or not... you tell me.

I printed all 4 out of ABS, each one was ~25hours to print and weighs ~190 grams when printed solid. I printed them solid to try and get the most life out of them, but these things wear like a pigs nose. Probably have a couple miles on them already and they're just scuffed a little! Plenty of life left in them.

The 2WD I have with the LIPO battery behaves great! Almost like driving around on ice to be honest. I am still learning the drifting part of it, a little more practice to get them just right I think...

These literally slide on, just compress the tire a bit when sliding them on and the wheel grips the inside of the sleeve to hold it in place.

Download the file and measure it up against your RC vehicle's wheels (if not a Stampede).

I don't see why different patterns couldn't be put on the outside of the wheel either, such as paddles for sand on the rear, then a set of sand fins on the front. If you make something neat let me hear about it!

Oh yeah, obviously you could print a set of 2 skins for the rear only, or print 4 and cover all 4 wheels.
