DB4ENG Dragon Burner mount Ender3 NG

EDIT 19/05/2024 - Added a new version of the X carriage which is much more compact (and thus better CG location) BUT limits slightly the print volume on the x-axis ( +5 mm max on each side of the X carriage lost compared to the previous version). The Klicky-00 probe was also modified to also fit this new carriage.

EDIT 10/04/2024 - Added Klicky-00 probe to files. It was designed for Spider V3 with MK8 nozzle, so it won't fit volcano type hotends…

Dragon Burner for the Ender3 NG 

An additional toolhead option, the Dragon Burner V8 by chirpy2605,  for the awesome Ender3 NG (beta release) by RH3D.

This toolhead is compatible with a variety of hotends and extruders, see repo of chirpy2605 https://github.com/chirpy2605/voron/tree/main/V0/Dragon_Burner) for more information. 

I have the Spider V3 & Orbiter 2.0, with EBB36 canboard & Unklicky probe. So the mount was designed and tested only with these precise options. Do not hesitate to reach me if you have any issue with other options :), or remix it yourself (step files included ). 

Printing settings

All STL files must be imported in your slicer and printed in the set orientation (no support needed since there is already built-in support). Use same parameters as for Ender3 NG parts…

Some notes

• Screws / brass inserts needed for X-carriage V2 "compact" (V1 very similar):
  • 2 x    M4 standard brass inserts
  • 5 x    M3 standard brass inserts
  • 2 x    M3x8mm screw
• EBB36 mount was remixed for more rigidity and has a third mount point for that purpose (use of a M3 nut glued to the printed part - or M3 brass insert for compact version).
• No print volume lost compare to RH3D toolhead (except for the V2 compact version
• As RH3D's toolhead, it was designed to use the Klicky probe (and all its variants)
• Lightly sanding both parts of x carriage makes for a perfect seem after assembly with 2 M3 screws

Know issues: 

• X_carriage_bracket may not fit all hotends setup… (no issue reported so far)

Creation of a mount compatible with Dragon Burner V8 toolhead to use in my Ender3 NG. I took Ender3 NG logo on the toolhead, copy belt attachment for compatibility.
