Dew Shield for Celestron EdgeHD 8

This large dew shield can be printed on printers like the prusa MK3. It's printed in parts and glued together. (I used super glue)

Except the front rim, the parts of the shield are printed with the groove at the build plate. Make sure that no support is in the groove - use painted support for the side latches only: (no other support material needed)

I've printed it in PETG on the smooth sheet. (in my opinion PETG sticks more on the smooth sheet). Only the cap parts are printed on the textured sheet.

When putting together the different parts, turn each layer 60 degrees.

I flocked the inside with adhesive velvet sheets. :

The mount ring connector is not flat - print it therefore upright:
