Inspired by tires I'm using for a different RC project. I've modified the really cool wheels I found to work with the TFD dragster.
Original OpenRC Design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:523776
The design for the TFD integrates the flange coupling adapter into the inner half of the wheels hub using the same m3 and m4 heat inserts that are present in the original TFD file.
I've printed the tires in Polymaker 95A TPU with .4 nozzle, .2 layer height, 3 walls, 3% infill, and fuzzy skin as follows:
- Contour (outside only)
- 0.8mm point distance
- 1mm thickness
Hubs printed .2 layer height 4 walls and 20% infill
Hubs are slid into the tire with the flat side of the tire facing out and held together with m3 screws. The same m4 screws are used from the original adapter design.
The author remixed this model.
Modifications to fit the current TFD setup and remove the need for a separate coupling adapter as it is built in to the inner hub
