The first thing i did after ordering my Volcano Hybrid was searching for any storage solutions that not only protect the device itself, but also keep all accesories within reach. As the famous “Volcano Case” by Vaporizeit isn't available anymore (and to be frank, also didn't look like that well fitted), and the CLOUD/TEN bag also seems a bit overprized for essentially a custom cut block of foam in a regular bag, i started looking into building my own solution.

The case

The best foundation to work off of i was able to find was this 25x25x25cm hard case made out of plastic and some aluminium, fitted with 2.5mm neoprene lining, 3 blocks of pick 'n pluck foam and a layer of eggshell-syle foam in the lid for ~33€:

The original idea of just plucking the foam blocks into a shape that would fit the Volcano was abandoned after i received it, as there would only be a thin layer of foam left (~2cm on each side), and the height would also require cutting one of the blocks horizontally. So out with the foam, in with the printed parts!

The individual parts

At them bottom of the case is the Baseplate with 4 “mini volcanoes” that nicely fit the feet of the Volcano, and raise it up to a height where the neck is just above the edge of the case's body. This not only looks nice, it also allows you to store e.g. the power cable below the Volcano.

At the top of the case, just below the neck of the Volcano, is a Tray that accomodates 4 EasyValves (one in each corner), the Tube kit (at the back) and the Filling Chamber. It rests on the tapered body of the Volcano with 4 angled standoffs, which all have a small felt pad to protect the power coating (if you have the Onyx).

Then there's a Dust Cap with the Storz & Bickel logo, which helps lock the Volcano in place by digging into the foam layer at the top. The Dust Cap also just happens to be a perfect fit for the Grinder that you get with your Volcano, and if you leave it on the Dust Cap when you close the lid, the Volcano is kept in place even better - you want to do this when you expect the case to be bumped around e.g. during travel.

And lastly there are EasyValve Clips that keep the balloons rolled up, so you don't have to worry about them flapping around in the case. These clips are available for regular EasyValves, and EasyValves with Adapter.

Oh, and if you want that nice Badge: https://www.printables.com/model/800199-storz-bickel-volcano-vaporizer-badge

If you can't find the case in your region, or if it's too expensive to ship, look for anything with inner dimensions of 24cm³.
