Filler Spool Holder Brace for Prusa MK3, MK3S, MK3S+, MK4 compatible with Prusa Filament Guide

This is an adjusted version of the Prusa brace for the Filler Spool Holder that positions the spool in the exact same location as the stock Prusa spool holder relative to the frame.

Filament Guide

The brace has an attachment point for the Prusa Filament Guide at the same position as the stock spool holder so that the guide hole is in the same position relative to the spool as with a stock setup.

However, since the Filler spool holder positions the spool further away from the center of the brace than the stock spool holder, a one-sided and lengthened filament guide is needed in order to position the guide hole in the center of the spool.

Printing

Print the part in the original orientation. The STLs are pre-rotated for printing. I'd recommend printing this part extra beefy with a high perimeter count and high infill percentage.

Print Settings

• Material: PETG, ASA, ABS, etc.
• Extrusion width: 0.4mm - 0.45mm
• Layer height: 0.2mm
• Perimeters: 6
• Infill: 30% Gyroid
• Supports: Yes, support enforcer

Supports

Place a support enforcer at the top to support the opening for the spool holder. Only the opening needs to be supported. The interior is supported by a bridging. You printer must be capable of bridging about 20mm. If you get sag on the bridging layer you might have to use a file.
