“Insert bottom” options

You can choose three options for “Insert bottom” to print:

  1. Insert bottom.3mf - file without hole for magnet;
  2. Insert bottom - magnet 20x3mm.3mf - file with hole for 12x3mm magnet;
  3. Insert bottom - magnet.step - file same as (2) but without hole for magnet, you can easily modify it to add hole for magnet size you have on hands or for multiple magnets;

If you choose to print version with magnets, you can pause print and insert them during print or press fit them afterwards.

Assembly

Bottom part

(Optional) If you printed “Insert bottom” with hole for magnet and don't put magnets during print - press fit magnet(s) in hole(s)

Press fit “Insert bottom” into “Shell bottom”. You can glue it.

Top part

Press fix “Insert bottom” into “Shell bottom”. You can glue it.

Needles cushion
  1. Cut sponge or foam cylinder ~52mm in diameter and ~20mm in height;
  2. Cut some cloth circle approximate 130mm in diameter;
  3. Wrap sponge/foam cylinder with that cloth. Sew them together or fix in other way to the underside of the sponge/foam and then push it into assembled “Top” part;

Now you can put needles into cushion in “Top” part and put pins into “Bottom" part. Magnets should help keep pins in one pile.
