This is mainly a MEGA magwell for the Gryphon platform, it uses a generally stock rear assembly, so it should be compatible with any grip/rear stock mods that are compatible with the 1.3 Gryphon, the only exception beign the pusher that needed to be lengthened and widenened. The Cage is the same as the Riveter, so it uses printed flywheels that i recommend to print with 100% infill and a layer height of 0.1 mm.

For the pièce de résistance, AKA the magwell, i had some problems with curling, since i was printing PETG in a drafty ambient with no way to make an enclosure, so i uploaded a split version of the magwell as well with the one-piece version. The split version needs three more m3x6mm screws (the same that are for the wire run). For testing i could only use this magazine, so if there are any problems with official Nerf or Buzzbee ones feel free to let me know. With the new pusher design the standard lenght mag pusher doesn't collide anymore when the mag is empty, this unfortunately still happens with the short dart mags.

I didn't upload any Buttstock or Battery tray files since i didn't want to clutter the file list, but you could find them in the main Gryphon page.

Update 20/03/2024: After some requests i've designed a magwell for MisplacedMoose half lenght Mega Magazines.

In this magwell the mag release is assembled differently from a standard Gryphon Magwell:

  1. First insert the spring in the hole on the rear of the magwell
  2. Then you should press down the mag release on the spring while also sliding it under the bridge in the magwell
  3. Allign the screw hole of the mag release
  4. And Voilà! You can screw it all together like normal.

It also uses the standard Riveter Motor Cover, that is in the same folder with the other short dart parts.

In order to use the window in the magwell i've also remixed the mags, they can be found HERE.

Update 22/03/2024:

  1. Fixed the picatinny “teeth” on the full lenght magwell, since the original was bugging me since release, and added a cage picatinny to go with it.
  2. Modified the cage in order to add mounting points for a muzzle break and designed a muzzle “template”, more muzzles are to come.
  3. Chamfered the lower edges of the pusher in order to not catch with the short dart mag follower on the last round.

Update 28/03/2024:

Reorganized folders.

Update 30/03/2024:

  1. Added new Flywheel covers forked from the new Riveter ones with added mounting holes for the flywheel caps
  2. Added the above mentioned caps
  3. Updated the Flywheels STL to the new designs from the Riveter
  4. Augmented the hole diameter in the old flywheel covers in order to accomodate the new Flywheels
  5. Added a new Muzzle design

Update 01/04/2024:

Added the STEP file of the design and One-piece Picatinny rails STLs for both magwells.

Update 13/04/2024

Updated the pusher with a new design inspired by the pusher of the Protean in order to reduce the friction with the darts making the pusher “slippier” when returning to the resting position.

Update 08/07/2024

Added the STEP file for the short dart magwell.
