It is designed to fit with overture cardboard spools and the Prusa MK3S+ spool holder. It may fit other spool holders and spool but I cannot guarantee it.
O.D. of bearing surface: 2.126", I.D. of bearing surface: 1.575"
I designed it because I noticed as I used the cardboard spools fine dust was being produced directly above my print bed and Y-axis motor, belt, and pully. The threads allow me to tighten down to the spool to prevent slipping and now when I use the overture spools it no longer creates dust.
I printed with PLA at a .20 mm layer height.
The “Thick Flange” models have a .375" thick flange which is easier to grab when screwing or unscrewing the spool. The “Thin Flange” models have a .125" thick flange which could possibly be used in areas that require a narrower spool.
Edit: One thing to note is sometimes the bearing will produce an annoying squeaking noise as it spins, this could maybe be solved by printing in a different material?
