Tealight Mold
- A simple tealight mold that casts x25 tealights.
- A soft mold to help keep shape while curing.
- The tealights are approximately 38 mm (1.5 in) in diameter by 16 mm (0.63 in) high.
- Print the mold in TPU rubber.
- Printed on an Ender 3 at .2mm layer height with brim enabled.
- How to use:
- Place mold flat on a piece of parchment paper. A little bit of tape can be used to hold the mold in place but it is not necessary.
- Insert your wicks into the center of each mold. You can use a bit of tape, a double sided sticker, or some melted wax to hold it in place.
- Use a wick holder to keep wick centered.
- Pour melted wax into each container right up to the brim.
- Let the wax harden and cool.
- Lift the mold up and remove the parchment paper from underneath.
- Push candles out of from the bottom using your thumbs.
- Voila! You have made you own tealights.
Tealight Mold BIG
- One solid piece tealight mold that casts x25 tealights.
- I recommend using the first version as it works better and is easier to remove candles. This was only made at request of a customer. Thought I'd upload it anyway.
- Designed to be printed in TPU rubber.
- 0.2mm layer height, 2 perimeters, 5% gyroid infill, 4 top/bottom layers, 4mm brim enabled
EDITS:
March 16th
- removed original x16 version and added a x25 candle version in its place.
- added a thick one piece design x25 candle mold.
March 25th
- added a x9 tealight version for easier printing
- modified the molds to have no bottoms because they were tested and candles were difficult to remove.
- added a wick holder because it was difficult to keep wicks straight during pouring.
