So, Prusa Mk3S was Pi Zero2W friendly and I had it plugged in the Einsy board, ran a ribbon cable with a camera on the end to a little arm to watch the builds.

MK3.5 is not friendly like that. What to do !

So here is what I have done.

I have remodelled the arm that the camera used to swivel on to hold the pi zero 2W as well.

You will need:

  1. a cable with USB-C male at one end and micro USB male at the other. I use a 1m cable from Ugreen via Amazon.
  2. a 5v PSU for the pi.
  3. 2 x M3 18 bolts and lock nuts
  4. 1 x M3 20 bolt and lock nut
  5. Bolts and nuts to attach the bracket to the prusa base.

Print the parts I include here and you are good to go.

I am using a Lisparoi light to illuminate hence te shape of my camera holder.

NB If you are setting up from scratch rather than migrating then you'll also need a ribbon size adapter to link the pi zero connector to a pi camera.

The pi needed no software changes, Octoprint will find the Mk3.5 and you are good to go.
