I have created this fan duct to improve cooling. The air is now swirled directly below the nozzle, providing effective cooling where needed. Overhangs up to 75° are possible instead of 50°, and printing bridges and supports has also become easier.
I have installed the Vulcano Nozzle on mine, but the design should still offer sufficient space for the standard nozzle. Additionally, I have not tested the 5015 and original models. Both designs are based on those for EBM. If anything is not suitable, please let me know.
To print it, you only need supports under the openings; the easiest way is to set the support overhang threshold to 1° in the support settings.
Edit: For those who would like more space between the duct and the print object, I have added a 'more space' version.
