I quickly made this vinyl stand / record holder for my girlfriend's record player setup. She was leaning the records against the wall, but seeing as there's a relatively big gap between the wall and furniture this was less than ideal.

We couldn't find any stand that wasn't wall-mounted, and truly fit the aesthetic we were looking for, hence my own rendition of the idea many have had before me.

I printed this in Prusament rPLA Wine Pigment to fit with the mahogany record player, and it actually came out looking really nice. This uses a fair bit of filament (about 230g), but it's a decor item so I'm fine with that. I printed it with a 0.6mm nozzle at 0.25mm layer, and it took about 8.5 hours (there is no rPLA profile for Input Shaper).

My print settings:

  • 0.6mm nozzle
  • 0.25mm layer height (quality)
  • 3 walls
  • PLA: Prusament rPLA Wine Pigment
  • Supports: Organic
  • Infill: Cubic (doesn't matter)
  • I went with 25%, mostly for finish quality.
