I created this case for the Creality E3 Free-runs Motherboard (I believe that most Creality motherboards such as the 4.2.2, 4.2.7 so they should fit inside this case as well) because I wanted to use the motherboard to drive some stepper motors for a project. I'm using the board like an Arduino and wanted to protect it and be able to handle it without constantly touching the PCB.

I created it to be fastened without heat brass inserts as well, but I could add brass inert hole sizing if people want it.

Printed on the MK4, generic PLA filament (hot pink because obviously)

  • top_case: print with support (mainly for the 4 screw holes)
  • bottom_case: print with no supports

20% infill

Needed:

  • 6 x M3 x 4 (hold board in)
  • 4 x M3 x 12 (hold power jack in)
  • 4 x M3 x 8 (hold fan in)
  • 4 x M4 x 12 (secure enclosure)

For power, I'm using:

But you could leave that out and feed the power cables through the same hole.
