Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Wall mount is a separate part, this allows to print main body in any orientation you prefer. And more important is that wall-mount part printing orientation allow for much stronger junction.

There are four files, two with regular hexagon.
And other two with improved (I had issues with 0.6 nozzle)
Each version have one model with chamfer and one without

WARNING! Improved hex and the way I'm multiplying it is very hard to calculate,
20x10 took something like 10mins (M2 Pro) for me!

I might release simplified version later or find a way to optimize it, but no promises

You can configure next params:

  • Number of bit rows (minimum 2)
  • Number of bit cols (minimum 8)
  • Adjust bit width tolerance
  • Bit depth
  • Horizontal/Vertical space between bits
  • Optional bit chamfer (and it's size)
  • Wall mount part thickness

Example of “no chamfer” VS “chamfer present”

200 bits:

You'll have to use 4 M3x5mm brass inserts to connect main body with wall-mount part:
