Protective Case for Intrapid Dial Test Indicator 74.111370 (and similar models)

Introducing a custom-designed protective case for Dial Test Indicators, born out of the need to safeguard these precision tools without compromising functionality. This case is engineered to snugly secure the indicator from the bottom, ensuring optimal protection against impacts and drops. Its design cleverly allows the indicator to 'float'—preventing any pressure on the sensitive tip during storage and preserving calibration accuracy.

With durability in mind, the case features anti-shear teeth on the lid to protect the hinge and latch from corner impacts. For those who prefer extra security, I've added soft expanding foam inside, though its robust construction ensures the indicator stays in place, with or without it. A simple M4x8 screw is all it takes to keep the lid firmly closed. This case is a blend of thoughtful design and practicality, ensuring your Dial Indicator remains calibrated and protected, whether on the move or in storage.

Brownie points for having the Interapid badging. This is designed for Interapid Model 74.111370, however it has been successfully tested with several other indicators, the general theme being that foam may be required to better protect, but otherwise the case will be functional despite the mismatch.

I recommend printing at a higher quality preset, due to tolerances in the lid/hinge fitment. Will be tight until lid is cycled several times.
