Add dual 4010 fans to a stock Prusa Mini or SliceEngineering Copperhead. Uses Annex Engineering K3 4010 fan ducts, at original angles and spacing.
Suggested Fans: BFB0405HHA-A (2 wire, no Tach) or BFB0405HHA-AF00 (3 wire, w/ Tach)
If you want the fans to report RPM you will only use one Tach signal, so you could get one of each fan type or 2x 3 wire fans and leave one Tach wire disconnected.
The ducts hang pretty low (~2mm above the build sheet), so you will need a ultralow profile heater cover like this one I made. => https://www.printables.com/model/815865-prusa-mini-ultra-low-profile-bed-heater-cover-16mm
You will need to shave the build plate alignment pins too. I put M3 nuts (~2mm thick) on the alignment pins as spacers then cut the studs flush to the nuts with a dremel cutoff wheel.
Hotend nozzle and pinda probe maintain their original positions.
Hardware needed: 4x M2x8 screws, 4x M2x14 screws, 7x M3x8 screws, 2x M3x18 screws, 1x M3x25 screw, 5x M3x5x4 heatset inserts and to reuse the hardware from the old Pinda clamp.
I recommend to print the parts in ASA, ABS, or PC. PETG is OK if you do not intent to place your printer inside an enclosure. PLA should just be used for a mockup.
*This design is a work in progress so please share your change requests and I will try to integrate them.
The author remixed this model.
Ducts and their placement are taken from the Annex K3. The K3 mounting plates were modified to fit the Mini. Some Prusa Mini parts were modified as well.
