This is an update to the very well put together https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3655644 which perfectly fits an Olympic barbell (that is a ~50mm or 2" diameter).
First, the "base" with towers has a short fat pin on the end, this was slicing incorrectly as two parts, meaning it would break off very easily, I've updated it to be fully integrated.
The other changes I made were to flatten both the "pivot connector" and the "lever", these parts still need some supports for the actual joint but now the body of each should not require nearly as much. Because I've adjusted the "lever", the "side grip snap" is no longer compatible, however I have found it is not actually required to get a good grip on the bar.

Yes
Resolution:

Rubber
You'll want to add 4mm of rubber to both of the "Side Grip"s, I found it easy to use a pretty sticky silicone based adhesive on small strips at each end and then clamp it on the bar like it would be when in use.
How I Designed This ===================This was all done by dumping the original .stl files into TinkerCAD
