Models I made so I could have a nice place for my nunchuck battery on my Mosquito v2 as well as a friends airsoft gun.
I used part 9 and 10 of the mv2 to design “TopRec+BattHoldPica” and I used Citruspers picatinny rail design to design ”BatteryBoxPica all”. (Sadly, Printables wont let me add both to the remixes due to them not having the same license's)
Compatible with nunchuck batteries (or 2 stick batteries) shorter then 120mm and with a diameter under 20mm
(This is the battery I used: https://www.evike.com/products/64349/)
If you know your battery fits the dimensions but are having trouble with the wires on the sides, twist the wires towards the bump on the bottom side so that they aren't in the way of the “BatteryBoxLid”.
*note: the fuzzy walls in my pictures is a modifier I added to mine. Not on any stl's.
Print settings:
- 3 walls
- .2mm layer height
- 20% cubic infill
- 10mm brim recommended for all parts (ESPECIALLY "BatteryBoxPica all" AND “TopRec+BattHoldPica”)
- Don't change the orientation of anything for best results
Hardware:
- You will need 4 (2 works fine) 3mm heat-set inserts to sit flush with the top of the box designs as well as 4 (or 2) 3mm 12mm-16mm long screws to secure the "BatteryBoxLid". FOR ALL 3 DESIGNS!
- Additional hardware needed for: “BatteryBoxPica all”. Talked about in the bullets beneath
- Additional hardware needed for: “BatteryBoxLidSlide”. Talked about in the bullets beneath
For “BatteryBoxBox”:
- Print in given orientation
- This is meant to be meshed with other stl's that you have and wish to have battery storage on
For "BatteryBoxLid":
- Print in given orientation
- This (or its easier to use counter part bellow) needs to be printed with “BatteryBoxBox” as well as “TopRec+BattHoldPica”. It is included in the "BatteryBoxPica all.3mf"
For “BatteryBoxLidSlide”:
- Print in given orientation
- a slide on version of the BatteryBoxLid, use 2 8mm-10mm long 3mm screws in the bottom 2 holes of any of the box designs. it then uses 1 or 2 12mm long 3mm screws on the top holes to secure it further (these are optional)
- The two screws on the bottom can be tightened so that just it is tight enough to use just those without the top screws
- This is not included in “BatteryBoxAll” and will need to be printed separately
For "BatteryBoxPica all":
- This is meant to be used with any airsoft gun that has picatinny rails and IS compatible with the MV2 if you remove the rear site
- It is NOT the replacement for part 9 and 10 of the MV2
- All parts needed are included in 3mf and in correct orientation.
- Only 2 picatinny clamps can be used at a time
- Will need 2 3mm hex nuts as well as 2 3mm 30mm long screws
- Ignore the long bar and negative volume on the side. That wont print and is only used to keep the picatinny rails off of the build plate in your slicer
- Don't print the stl of this unless you want a random stick of filament that will probably get knocked over. I only included the stl so you can view it in this website.
For “TopRec+BattHoldPica”:
- *THIS IS ONLY FOR USE WITH THE MOSQUITO v2 OPEN BETA*
- Print in given orientation with tree supports set to automatic.
- This replaces the parts titled “9_TopRail” and “10_TopCover” in the receiver assembly of the Mosquito v2.
Happy Printing!
