This is a newer version of my previous print-in-place phone stand. Whereas the previous one could be said to use “friction hinges,” this one is much looser and more easily printed for printers that don't have such tight tolerance. I left the other one up for anyone who still wants tight hinges.
I wanted a nice small pocket phone-stand that was sleek and comfortable to carry, but could also stand up to a large phone's weight. Many of the other designs I found were large, not meant for pocket-carry, or relied on tenuous friction hinges so I decided to make my own!
Unlike my other model, this one has looser hinges and relies on the kickstand to hold the top piece up.
It holds an iPhone 14 quite well in several positions, but isn't sturdy enough to hold it in the flatter positions if it is standing upright.
I did add spots for 6x2mm magnets, and these help to keep it closed very well.
