Soft Tape Spool

An enclosed spool for a 13mm (0.5in) wide soft tape comprised of four pieces: an inner and and outer top and bottom.

Assembly Instructions

1. Place the inner bottom piece down on a flat surface.
2. Fit the outer bottom piece over the inner bottom piece.
3. Place the end of your soft tape into the slot on the inner bottom piece.
4. Fit the outer top piece in place by pressing it into the matching groove on the bottom piece.
5. Place the inner top piece onto the spool assembly, taking care to line up the slot for the end of the soft tape. Press firmly to secure.

NOTE: The pins on the bottom piece often break when attempting to take the inner pieces apart. Do NOT join the inner pieces until final assembly.

Known Issues

This iteration requires supports on the outer pieces to print correctly. The pins on the inner bottom piece break off when attempting to remove the inner pieces from each other. These are being worked on for the next iteration.
