Upgrade your Trilab DeltiQ 2 to become able to print nonplanar models
To print nonplanar models, the nozzle needs as much clearance as possible. One of the biggest problems regarding the clearance is the probe, which is just litte higher than the nozzle. This modification lets you lift the probe, which snaps magnetically into one of the two positions. It is designed to use the DeltiQ with the E3D Revo belt nozzle. As Delta printers can move at the same speed in any direction, they are very suitable for non-planar printing.
Since the part is quite complex, we have printed it in SLS. I can not guarantee, that it prints well in FDM. But just give it a try. You will also need to change the nozzle system from V6 to the E3D Revo system, that you can use their belt nozzle (this is quite straight forward).
The build should be more or less self-explanatory. There are 7 different versions of the slider, all with a slightly different width to get the perfect tolerance. Good luck!
