Adaptor plate that lets you mount a mini-DIN socket in the place of a DB25 cutout on a vintage PC case.

This may be useful for old 486 AT motherboards that have a PS/2 header on the board for attaching a mouse (e.g. ASUS VL/I-486SV2), but you don't want to use up a ISA/VLB card slot.

I used this panel-mount mini-DIN socket: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000583215055.html

  • Solder a cable to the socket according to your motherboard's manual.
  • Attach the DIN socket to the plate with 2x self-tapping screws (M3?).
  • Attach the assembled plate to the PC with 2x M3 screws, 2x M3 washers, and 2x M3 nuts.
