  • to further reduce friction, i've added new parts to shorten the PTFE tube by half the length and to minimize the need of holes into the box
  • added parts:
    • plug_thread_M6_integrated ("park position")
    • M6_plug + M6_screw if you need to close existing holes already drilled

UPDATE 11.03.2024

  • Added new Filament Inlet part + washer to connect a M10 pneumatics connector due to reduce friction. Make sure the PTFE Tube is all the way in the Inlet part when assembled!
  • Added new adapter part to use the spool holder with a different cereal box
  • Updated description and added the purchase parts i've used so far

Description

Just another Filament Drybox with different mounting system. No specific box needed! - just a flat lid.

I've used two different cereal boxes so far. See those pros and cons for each box below in the purchase part section.

NOTE: Make sure to buy a cereal box without those “grip dents”. I bought them and thats why only spools with a maximum width of 60mm will fit.

I've added some spool adapters with various diameters for spools i own.

Just ask if you need additional diameters.

Print Settings i've used:

  • printed with normal PLA
  • 0.2mm layer height
  • no supports needed (see slicer picture for print orientation)
  • 30% infill

Purchase Parts you will need:

  • any box that fits the size of the filament roll + the assembly (make also sure, that the lid is flat and does not contain any kind of angle!)

Boxes i've already tested myself:
