Dyson DC16 Milwaukee M18 battery adapter

This allows you to replace the Dyson DC16's battery with a Milwaukee M18 battery. It uses an injection-molded battery cradle for better fit to the M18 battery, and requires a few simple modifications to the vacuum cleaner.

1. Tear down your vacuum, remove the battery contact assembly, extend the battery power wires, and terminate with 6.3mm spade terminals
2. Modify the vacuum controller board, swapping R13 for a 2.7kΩ 0603 resistor, and adding a 10kΩ resistor across the terminals of the battery thermistor input (see images for locations of these two mods).
