Dishwasher Tine Row Pivot

Introduction

This is a replacement part for my KitchenAid dishwasher made by Whirlpool. The tine row pivot helps secure the adjustable tine rows inlace in the upper and lower dish racks. It also allows the adjustable tine rows to fold down and out of the way for larger dishes.

Whirlpool brands include Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears / Kenmore. So, this part may work with other dishwashers too. Let me know in the comments!
 

Print Tips

I suggest printing with ABS or any other filament that can withstand some heat. I am currently testing a PLA print to see how it stands up to the heat inside the dishwasher.

Print flat with supports from build plate. I used organic supports for the two tabs that hang over.

I printed at 20% infill and it seems good so far.  Use at least two perimeters for vertical shells to ensure the thin part at the end is solid.
