QUESTION: did you have to change the size of the screw to mount to the extruder? If so what size screw did you go up to? Neptune4 MAX

Great filament guide at the top of the printer! Do you have a .step file available for the left and right side mounts? I have a custom spool holder which holds the spool farther away from the mount.

@katabolt_1744241 I did the initial design in Sketchup, and then moved to blender for adding in the threads. So I can offer the blend file if you want to adjust that, or if you want to tell me how far you'd like them stretched I can make another version and upload those.

Only have done the sensor mount but it works perfectly and have enough clearance to go the whole way up with it.

@Djsprints_1671703 I didn’t even try to reuse the existing wire and just ran an all new set of wire.

Does anyone have a remix for the Neptune 4 Plus? There is only one screw (post with screw), near the center of it.

@EZarnosky_2566557 Do you mean the backing plate on the filament sensor itself? Remove the plate and the sensor body will then mount to this bracket.

Works great. Printed in PLA+.

Excellent design. Printed in Elegoo PETG.

Is this for relocating the stock runout sensor?

@raymonddlille_214105 holes were just a touch small but nothing that threading a drill through by hand didn't resolve. Thank you so much for doing this for me. Makes the angle of the filament going into the extruder much better.

Wait... the Idea is phenomenal, but won't this PTFE tube create a load of drag? Why not only change location of the sensor?

@ReinaldoAlenc_336650 I haven't had any issues with drag so far on this printer, and I use this same setup with my Prusa fdm's as well. I thought about only moving the sensor, but I was worried about the loose end of the filament when it came off the roll, didn't want it to curl around and get caught under the print head. Of course you could always just print the relocation bracket and move the sensor, it works just fine without the bowden tube. I did go ahead and add a roller bearing spool holder, I got tired of listening to the cardboard spool rubbing on the factory plastic rod.

Very nice. Thank you for your work. Works perfectly on 4pro.

@noftm_1254086 I'm happy it worked for you. I'm really liking it on my 4 Max so far.
