My take on a single-print noise maker, with a few more supports so that bridging is easier.

Instructions

Print without adding additional support structure, then remove built-in support structure with a knife.

The outer thick supports should break away leaving the slapper, which should break free of the struts while still being attached to the noise maker frame. If the gear doesn't turn freely, you will need to clean out stray filament from between the gear prongs and/or the slapper.

If printing in Taulman 680 nylon, a raft on top of an unheated plate should be sufficient to keep the model from lifting at the edges.

Updates

  • v4 - added end curve to slapper, halved support count, added upper and lower support ribbing
