3 sets of TPU feet for the K1 series printers. I've called them TPU feet but they could be in any flexible filament. The holes to accept the printers screwed in feet are a tight tolerance so if you decide to print them in pla or similar rigids, bear that in mind. You may need to oversize by a couple of percent if using rigid. Mine were done in TPU and fit perfect.
I've included stl's in groups of 4 and singular items. There is also one demo stl that shows all 3 feet that was created solely for the 3d viewer of printables (Obviously Don't print that one).
- Set one is the default 20mm height and will act as direct replacements for the rubber set Creality ship with the K1 Max. I include them solely because in the design for the set I that I needed to create for a particular space issue, there was a point where the feet were at the ‘stock creality’ size, so I decided to include them here when they were already correct for stock needs.
- Set 2 is my modified shape set. I was given a stand with a raised edge on the sides and rear that fit the K1 Max perfectly. But would only fit the space without the extra feet fitted. That meant it would only fit the stand on the tiny little feet that are screwed to the base of the printer. By clipping two adjoining faces I was able to put the printer on this set of comparable height feet as the stock items, with the clipped sides the feet fit the available tight square surface area perfectly while also lifting the printer up 20mm like the stock feet would achieve. This brought any advantages of flexible feet into play for dampening, but also allowed me to print and use one of the many under printer tool drawers that are on printables.
- Set 3 (that I cannot use given my printers location on the stand) is a tall set. These give a height of 28mm. They were created solely in case anyone out there wants or needs that extra height (taller drawer anyone?). I made the bases wider for extra rigidity in the X and Y axis and also to give them greater stability. Given the height increase and how much the K1 series can try to move when at full speed I also beefed this version up a little without sacrificing flexibility.
The only set I have printed myself is set 2. But they all use identical geometry for the area that interfaces with the printer meaning alll 3 will fit just fine when printed in TPU. I made them tight enough to fit the stock tiny fixed feet of the printer in such a way that when you lift the printer they should stay attached rather than drop off when the printer is lifted. Basically, I am saying they fit snug and not sloppy so there is no movement or play where the stock printer feet fit to them.
- Print any and all of these feet in the orientation they will be used and using supports . They all have a hollow area (the same as stock creality extension feet) under the central core. Personally I wouldn't bother removing the supports after printing as they don't affect anything if left in place.
