Description

PDF

This is an XOR mechanism that requires exactly one of two keys to be inserted at a time. Once one key is inserted, it is locked and the other one is ejected. This is useful for example as a tracking system for small things such as car or house keys, which shouldn't just be taken somewhere without leaving a note (such as a name tag) who has them.

Printing Instructions

The case is supposed to be printed in one piece. The attached .3mf file and .gcode include a pause right before the case top would be finished, so that the then finished sleigh (that's the wrong word, I know…) can be carefully removed from the bed with the little snap-off-helper part at the side and then placed inside the case.

When the print is finished, a bit of silicone oil/grease greatly helps smoothing the operation, though it's not strictly necessary.

The *-screwiverse variants are for use with my Screwiverse system for the Honeycomb Storage Wall.
