EDIT: added STEP file of main part for remixes
I kept thinking I was missing a back cover on the xLCD to make it look better, handle better and protect it at the same time...so I made it to look like a part straight from the Prusa MK4 kit if possible. I redesigned and simplified the brackets a bit... The assembly is very simple and the pictures below in the instructions will guide you... You will only need 4 pieces of M3 nuts and 4 pieces of M3x16 screws in addition to the kit... I will be happy if you print out my model and send me your feedback... Some have already done it and were quite satisfied... The back cover will do its job and even if it is not visible, I believe that it will find a place on your MK4 printer.
All my parts were printed from PRUSAMENT PETG on the default PETG profile by PRUSA with 0,4 nozzle…a layer height of 0.2 is enough... This is not a long print... The layer height is of course up to you... Those who want better detail can also use smaller nozzles for logos. In the files you will find versions for embossed logos but also for the possibility of multi-color printing. The multi-color print is nice, so check out the gallery for photos.

Place the M3 nuts in the main part

Place the xLCD in the original front cover

Prepare the connector for the faston which will be placed in the corner as shown in the picture. Turn the back part over and place it on the front of the original cover. It takes a bit of skill, but nothing you can't handle quickly :-)

Screw the back cover to the front original part with M3x8 screws

Prepare the brackets and place 4 pieces of M3sN square nut in them

Connect the brackets to the cover..use M3x16 screws

The holes for the M3sN screws must face inwards!

Snap the small cover

Snap on thin cover for cables…The thin cover should snap into the upper M3sN nut holes.

Add a control button

Connect the PE and data cables…

Attach the brackets to the printer frame...use M3x10 screws

AND…….FINAL RESULT….Hope you like it….

ENJOY NEW LOOK OF YOUR MK4, MK3.5 , MK3.9 PRUSA PRINTER.
HAPPY PRINTING!
