For the X-Carriage i took the one of the Prusa i3 and changed the distance of the bearings to fit the RepRapPro Mendel.
The E3D is shaped into the mount using a clip.
Next to it i added a place for a capacitive probe.
You can see it in action here:

Instructions

The sensor is a LJC18A3-H-Z/BX (bought on eBay).
Since it runs on 12V you will need a optocoupler to operate the endstop.
