This is a "first working version" prototype. I have several plans to refine it.
A remix of Crossbow, Western style and others
The scale of your crossbow is dependant on the size of your build plate, at this scale you will need a 300mmX300mm build plate to print the bow limbs. If you don't, scale the limbs to fit your build plate, then use that scale for the rest of the crossbow parts.
Print two "Bow Limbs" but print one at a time. Remove the first one from the build plate and re-run the same g-code for the second one, that way they are identical.
Print them solid in PETG. It doesn't matter if that is 50 shells, 9999top/bottom layers, or 99% infill.
Print the trigger mechanism A & B solid as well.
Assemble with the best epoxy you can find.
The cone-shaped holes in the cut edges are for the alignment pins.
You may need to adjust the scale of your pegs to fit properly as every machine has different tolerances.
Just added the "Nose for fiberglass bow". This removes the bow brackets and replaces them with holes through the nose to insert a pair of 6mm fiberglass rods to act as the bow.
I also added a solid one-piece model of the Tactical Crossbow Ver 2 that I'm working on. This is a work in progress and may be changed at any moment.
The trigger and string catch each use a rubber band or hair tie for the spring action. The rubber band goes through the extra hole and then over the pegs on the outside of the frame. The trigger pegs are forward of the trigger and the catch pegs are part of the bow sight.
