I was inspired by the LTT cable management arches (not yet released at the time, but featured on WAN Show), and wanted to see if I could design a more flexible solution, both in terms of sizing and literary.
You will need:
Printing:
- I Printed with a 0.3mm layer height and a 0.6 nozzle, so anything finer than that should be just fine.
- PLA is recommended to minimize warping and lifting of the corners - there are a lot of small parts here that the nozzle could easily knock loose.
- Z-hop should be on for the same reason.
- Make sure the bed is clean (same reason).
- If the nozzle is still knocking stuff off the bed — slow down the print to 75–50%.
Post-Printing
- Remove the model from the build plate.
- Put a drop of glue in both magnet holes. Don't use too much glue, or it will splash out or glue your finger to the magnet.
- Insert the magnets into the holes in the same orientation. This will let you turn the cable holder into a ring what attaches with double strength at a single point.
- Wait for the glue to dry, then enjoy.
