Chain link has these following advantages:

  1. Fits into the chain, designed with same functionality as the original.
  2. Walls are 0.5mm stronger (so that they don't crack).
  3. Has PTFE tube support, towards the inside of the chain, so that the link does not rub against the printer lid or if you have risers like me.
  4. The support is not a full ring, in case you have a Gcode that can generate tangle of the tube, so in case there is too much force it will snap out (in this case you should reposition the link.
  5. Added some filets inside the link to avoid cracking.

I printed in PLA just fine as the temperature in the room does not exceed 40 degrees.

I suggest to print with 100% infill, at 0.1mm layer heigth, in the position that you first load the STL file, with tree slim supports. This way, there will be minimum support interacting very little with key elements/ tollerances.

For the configuration, in my case it works best having only 3 supports in the first half of the chain, the rest is free.
