I wanted to hang one of my Echo Dots on the underside of a wall cupboard, so I needed a mount. Maybe someone else has a use for this, too.

You need 4 M3x10 screws for the ring and whatever screws you might want to use to screw the mount onto the ceiling/whatever else (max dia. 4mm).

I also added a "cable base": this optional part can be placed between the ceiling and the mount to hide some of the cable (be aware that this part is just quickly thrown together to a"well, it works" state

Notes:

Print with 3 perimeters and 15-20% infill.

The overhang on the mount is a bit steep, but possbile to print without supports.

 

Post-Printing

mounting

  • screw on the mount
  • put the Echo Dot in the mount (hold it until it is secured by the ring)
  • screw on the ring (be aware of the direction: the inner diameter is different on top and bottom of the ring!)
