Alternative keycaps for the Functional DSKY model.

The trick is to print them as 0.16mm layer height. Make sure that \u201cdynamic quality\u201d is disabled. You'll want true 0.16mm.

Set up a \u201cpause at height\u201d so it stops just before printing the first layer to cover the text. I included a screenshot of my settings to do this in Cura. This is when you swap between the black and white filament.

The next trick is to purge enough white when printing. I have included a \u201cmush.stl\u201d which is just a pad to ensure that the nozzle is clear of any black before it starts printing the next layer on the keycap. Make sure that \u201cmush.stl\u201d is the first object to print to ensure the keycaps will print well.

Levels Converter Boards rack

This holds the boards (amazon link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CZVZ3US) as a tower 4 layers high. For the DSKY, you need 25 signals converted between 5v and 3.3v. 4 boards gives 32 signals converted. I epoxied two of the towers on one side to the base just in case I ever need to remove a board, I can still remove 2 of the towers. I then epoxied the base into place on the DSKY.

Note - the top support on each level of the tower is angled down at 2\u00b0. Take care to glue the bottom one that is straight to the base, not the angled one.

I recommend 100% infill for this. 0.2mm layer height should be fine.
